Spike TV officials today announced that the event, which takes place Sept. 15 at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas, features co-headliners of Demian Maia vs. Alan Belcher and Mac Danzig vs. Matt Wiman.

Now also set for the Spike TV-televised main card are lightweights Jim Miller vs. Gleison Tibau and Cole Miller vs. Ross Pearson.

After landing himself in the UFC through The Ultimate Fighter 10‘s heavyweight challenge, James McSweeney will next move down in weight for a 205-pound scrap at UFC 120.

Sweeney will take on Tom Blackledge in a battle of Brits at the Oct. 16 card at the O2 Arena in London.

It would be great to see an increased presence for American athletes in K-1. But the way to do that is not to put American kickboxers into fights in which they’re severely overmatched, which is what happened this weekend when Wisconsin’s Alex Roberts got into the ring with Brazil’s Ewerton Teixeira at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2010 in Canberra.
